Seminar Programs and Training Classes 

 

As a professional consultant one of Martin's goals is to provide education and ongoing training to clients and anyone in the community that wants to learn more about real estate finance, investments, and managing their money.  

Martin is very passionate about education and he works continuously throughout the year to develop new content that is relevant, up to date, and informative.  He keeps up with the latest economic and financial news and does all possible to break down current economic developments into understandable and digestable bits of information that are useful. 

Martin's commitment to training extends well beyond the classroom.  He makes himself available to clients and colleagues for one on one mentoring or counseling on complex matters that often require in depth explanations or ongoing coaching. 

 

Below is a list of seminar classes along with a brief description of each class. 
Some of these courses are offered in parthernship with other professionals and guest speakers.

  • How much home can I afford?  -- This class focuses on understanding lending guidelines from an underwriters point of view.  Participants will learn the difference between various loan products and will have an understanding of their family's income to debt ratio.  At the conclusion of this course, you'll have a throrough understanding of your family's financial picture and you'll know what you can realistically expect to afford given your own circumstances.  

  • First Time Home Buyers.  -- This class helps first time home buyers understand the process of selecting a home, financing of that home, and how to leverage themselves to be in the best borrowing position.  Participants will be given a chance to review their personal credit report and determine whether or not they are ready to make the transition from renting to owning.

  • Real Estate Investing. --This course is for people that want to start buying investment properties.  We discuss cash flowing a property, the role of property management companies, how to prepare for tenant issues and loss of rental income.  

  • Money Matters. -- Taught by Financial Planner, Danika Sanchez and other guest speakers.  This class is an entry level course on managing money, understanding the use of money in society, and strategies to manage debt and create wealth. 
  • Managing my debt and credit score?  -- A one on one coaching class.  This class is designed for people that need guidance on how to create strategies and solutions to get out of debt and free up monthly cash flow. Martin will teach you ways to legally manipulate credit scores so that you are in a better borrowing position when it comes time to refinance or take out a loan.
  • Finance and Investments - (Advanced Course) -- Also taught by Danika Sanchez, Martin Rodriguez and other guest speakers.  This class is specifically for those that have experience with investment properties and are looking to take the next step with their investments.  We discuss 1031 Exchanges, Tax strategies, Commercial properties, and other Financial Investments.
